Special Olympics 2014 Fundraiser

Special Olimpics - 2011

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Hello,
My name is Daniel Czyz. I am a busy graduate student. Whenever I am not at school, I spend time with my family and friends. I am also very outgoing, dedicated, hard working, and I really enjoy photography.
I have a healthy three-year old daughter. While my wife was still pregnant we were told that all of the soft markers suggest that she will be born either with trisomy 21 or cystic fibrosis. We were devastated with this news. My wife and I prepared ourselves psychologically; however, everything turned out to be fine and we had a healthy child. Nonetheless, many times I think "what if things would have turned out differently?". This fundraiser will provide me with the opportunity to show my support to all families with members struggling with disabilities. I know that it might have been me who would need that support and I would hope that I would receive it.

I recommend watching some of the motivational clips. These are some of my favorite:

All donations are highly appreciated, whether it's $1 or $20. My initial goal is the minimum, $125, once I reach this goal I will increase it within a reasonable range. Since I have never done any fundraising I am not sure how willingly people will donate, especially in these financially tough times.
For those who are not interested in donating, but would still like to see me freeze my butt during a plunge into Lake Michigan on March 6, 2011 and would like to follow my other fundraising-related activities, such as walk to Wisconsin, please visit my blog for updates and more information, The World Around.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!

Many, many thanks,

Daniel
