Red-tailed Hawk
Red-tailed Hawk is one of the most common hawk species in the North America. It has adapted to live across all habitats of the North American continent. One can see Red-tailed Hawk in River Trail Nature Center, Northbrook, IL (40.094736, -87.885261). The bird is held in captivity, because it lost an eye. Forest Preserve District of Cook County (FPDCC) takes care of the unfortunate animals who otherwise would become victims of the "natural selection".
