Shanghai, China 2011

My trip to China began on Saturday September 24, 2011. I left O'Hare airport on a 15hr flight to Shanghai. I arrived to Shanghai on Sunday afternoon. Witek, my friend, who happened to be living temporary in Shanghai with his wife, Basia, picked me up from the airport. We spent Sunday afternoon and Monday morning visiting the city, meeting people, and tasting Chinese cuisine. I was quite surprised with the culture, people, cleanness, advancement in technology, and expansion of the infrastructure. Monday afternoon I took a fast speed train to the Cold Spring Harbor Meeting on Protein Homeostasis in Health and Disease in Suzhou. After the conference, I came back to Shanghai where I met again with Witek, Basia, and my brother, Mario. We spend the whole Friday visiting the city and we flew to Beijing the next day.
