Viewing Perseus meteor shower was a lot of fun, except for the light-polluting Zion nuclear power plant that really killed it. Despite some light pollution in the norther part, we still saw 25 meteors within a few hrs. Illinois Beach State Park was a great place to observe the sky for meteors. Not that far from Chicago, only about 30 miles and the sky already looks absolutely amazing!
